Anti-Bullying Workshop

August 2, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

We are hosting this CAIR Kansas special event for all students and their families in the greater Wichita area.  42% of American Muslim teens report being bullied by fellow classmates and teachers, so what can you do? Come find out!

CAIR-Kansas Anti-Bullying and School Involvement Workshop

“Has your child been bullied?”
“Are you afraid your child may be bullied in the future?”
“Has your child been a victim of cyber-bullying?”
“Are your teachers and administrators supportive of you and your family?”

This workshop is centered around providing parents and kids with the tools they need to combat bullying and harassment in schools, describing coping mechanisms, exploring potential solutions, providing resources for intervention, and giving advice and tips on how to pro-actively be involved in your child’s education, work with school administration, and even connect on the school’s district level. A necessary workshop for parents and children of all ages.

The workshop will also focus on dealing with the increased incidents of Islamophobic harassment and bullying in Wichita schools during our current social and political climate.

CAIR’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding
